It All Changed in an Instant: More Six Word Memoirs by Writers Famous and Obscure Releases January 5th, 2010

In 2006, SMITH magazine asked its readers to describe life in only 6 words. The result? A New York Times Best Seller, Not Quite What I Was Planning: Six Word Memoirs by Writers Famous and Obscure. The editors of SMITH magazine simply wanted biographies, memoirs, a summation of life, in only six words. The title example, "Not quite what I was planning," is one of hundreds of six word memoirs created by writers both famous and obscure.

On January 5th, 2010, SMITH magazine releases another installment of the six word memoir series. It All Changed in an Instant: More Six-Word Memoirs by Writers Famous & Obscure hits the shelves on January 5th, full of hundreds more tragic, humorous, insightful, and shocking biographies in only six words.

I received a prerelease copy of It All Changed in an Instant: More Six-Word Memoirs by Writers Famous & Obscure, because to the surprise and delight of my husband and me, my husband's reader-submitted six word memoir was included in the book. As claimed by the editors, the six word memoir books do indeed include writers both famous and obscure. We received a free copy of the book prior to the release date of January 5th, 2010.

Readers of It All Changed in an Instant: More Six-Word Memoirs by Writers Famous & Obscurewill find six word memoirs written by famous celebrities from Montel Williams and Marlee Matlin to Gloria Steinem and Dr. Mehmet Oz. Writers who have never had words published before will also be included. My husband, Brian Harmon, submitted his own memoir, "High school art teacher. MFA wasted," and was included among the hundreds of other six word lines.

It All Changed in an Instant: More Six-Word Memoirs by Writers Famous & Obscure will inspire you, make you think, and make you laugh. It might even make you cry. Artists, writers, readers, and more will find It All Changed in an Instant: More Six-Word Memoirs by Writers Famous & Obscurean incredibly enjoyable read.

It All Changed in an Instant: More Six-Word Memoirs by Writers Famous & Obscure can be found from HarperCollins publishers and from a number of online book retailers and retail bookstores.
