It Didn't Snow in the Hood

Jacob Horn
This past Tuesday was the first day of the second semester for our students. The teacher asked them to describe their Christmas break by telling what presents they got, what they ate, or any other activity they participated in. After the students went, all of the teacher's aides and the teacher herself told about their Christmas break. One of our assistants was in the middle of telling about her Christmas and she described how excited she was when it snowed on Christmas morning. Among our students there was much debate about this statement and one of them said, "Well, it didn't snow in the hood." After a few seconds of further debate and without missing a beat another student at the front of the room said, "And if it did, somebody stole it."

Maybe you had to be there for this to be funny but I found it difficult to keep my composure.
