It Happens to Other People

It Couldn't Possibly Happen to Me

Solis
Eventually the party's over
Eventually we have to go
And when the moonlight fades all around you
It's hard to say how much you know
She came in and breathed life upon him
He arose and with a kiss he lied
A broken promise now a memory
Of better days gone by

Porno on the Internet
Monday night football too
Life is beautiful

Once a child bouncing on his knee
Now a soldier waves goodbye
To a country drunk on oil
For which the young must die
A little girl rides her bicycle
Chases her cat across the street
Not a though about the wheel chair
On which she'll have to rest her feet

Porno on the Internet
Monday night football too
Life is beautiful

After twenty years of service
Without a single word of praise
He walked into his place of business
With a shotgun in his case

So many thing we take for granted
Life maybe be worth more than that golden ring
One day it may surprise you
How many things can be taken away

You'll read along but you wont listen
Thinking that these things just can't be true
Best wise up and look around you
I wrote this poem about you

Porno on the Internet
Monday night football too
Life is beautiful

Deep. Yes one day the party will be over and the fountain of praise you receive can run out. You just never know when the things you take for granted will slip away.
