It is Now What Color You Are that Matters,it is Your Message You Leave Behind

My Own Thoughts, when Remembering All the Colored Persons, that Have Touched Others Life

Mrs.Rogers
In the beginning, God created all colors,
He formed each with their own story.
Not for man but His glory.
There has been mis-treatments of man,
Through the years that have spanned.
Liberation, founded, freedom demanded.
Years have brought with them
A time for change.
A time to each his right, his honor, his duty.
No matter what skin color,
We all must stand up and holler.
We must choose as great men before us,
Martin Luther,did not ignore this.
Move on back, to the end of the line,
To the end of the bus,
Was motive without reason.
It was not the equal opportunity season.
While bathrooms were segregated,
As well as our schools,
We watched as man went against God's rules.
Now we must honor, and recognize,
All the people who went on before us.
Gave of their lives, or did not ignore us.
Made contributions, came up with solutions.
They are what makes our Nation so great,
No matter what, they are a part,
Have created or even started,
A change in our History, in our world.
Here is to all who made this country great,
Even if you felt from us like second rate.
Now your name will carry on,
As well as all those slave songs.
Something beautiful rises up from ashes,
Be it a soul, or brief flashes.
Long to endure is your motto,
Made to achieve, is your way.
Here's to your month....

Something happened it appears to the beginning of my article. Looks like some word was added, I apologize, for it, even though I do not know how it happened.

When I saw Charlene's comment, I thought the same thing! I know President Obama's a busy man, but I'm sure he appreciates such art. Well done.
