It Seems

Zenovia B.
It seems like yesterday across the room I saw his smile, then we met and talked a while.

It seems like yesterday when I kissed his sweet lips, he warmed me with desire with his fingertips.

It seems like yesterday he said, "If you love me put out the fire," with little thought, no protection I gave into the desire.

It seems like yesterday he left me with out a kiss goodbye, left me feeling said and wondering why.

It seems like yesterday I received a call from a clinic, they said a list was there, and my name was within it.

It seems like yesterday, he looked healthy and well, but today he's dead and left me sick in what seems like a living hell.

So what's the price one may ask for one yesterday of pleasure, your tommorrows, your life, in which you will now start to treasure.

NO this did not happen to me personally, but perhaps you know someone that it has happened to, perhaps even you.
