It was upon a Christmas night
When i looked upon the Christmas lights
A Christmas tree, a piece of mistle toe
A star that looked like Edgar Allen Poe
With lights of blue, red, yellow and green
There was a beautiful nativity scene
A baby Jesus cradled in hay
While all the wise men begin to pray
A night so clear, a star so bright
It's such a heavenly, heavenly night
The heavens opened up
And the angels began to sing
Oh what a glorious, glorious thing
This beautiful life on such a bright night
Brought heaven and Earth
And a baby Jesus to be
