It was (working Title)

It's all so pedestrian. The media has informed the younger generations that the idea of naturally finding someone and developing a relationship has become an old wives tale. Spouted from the mouths of idiots the ignorant and callous phrase "no drama" pollutes the consciousness. But these days wanting to have a conversation about the pain one is caused by the injustices lovers show each other gets pushed into the trendy imaginary box of "no drama". Human beings by nature have emotions and they think, so why is it acceptable to expect such beings to forget their feelings and become closer to the robotic, entitled, little drones that do what their told when their told as long as the cable TV and fast food places are still functioning.

If Beethoven was told that he had to write something more upbeat because there was a strict "no drama" rule in society, music surely would have suffered. Would the king have said;

"Oh well we like this symphony, but really Ludwig, can we lose the drama?"

If Charles Dickens had followed the rule of "no drama" when writing his many masterpieces could he have told the stories any other way? Would his editor have said? Something like;

"Well Charles, we like it, but get rid of all this stuff about mistreatment of orphans, children on the street and the rich disregarding the needs of the poor. Too much drama '(in the tone of a 16 year old girl).' Lighten it up."

The comparisons are endless. Could it be the lack of literature being taught in public schools that have left children to become teens and young adults who prefer the robotics of the physical being over the deep emotions that can rise to make a person feel alive. Drama exists because it exists and there is a call for it. Even a creature as small at the ant fights, but does that make this little creature somehow dramatic? Hardly, it is basic survival. Emotions are what separate and make the world a functioning place. Empathy as opposed to apathy and conscious in the place of ignorance are the things that once separated the human race from animals. Though in current days it seems that walking through life with the tag of "no drama" passes for what once was creativity and passion.

A life that hasn't any drama in it would be ideal with this logic; it would be the ultimate euphoria. Maybe that is why the following events as I passed through them felt like hell.

I remember when I met Tony. No matter how much I want to forget it, I remember with the clarity of recalling my favorite movie. It plays in my 36 year old mind with warnings pointing out the obvious signs that an 18 year old girl wasn't ready to see. He never hid these things from anyone but me.
