Italian Restaurants in Nashville
Neighborhood: Nashville
Nashville, TN 37201
United States of America
There are many things that contribute to making Nashville, TN a great city to not only visit, but to live in as well. I have spent numerous summers visiting family and friends in this wonderful and beautiful city. There are numerous music venues, shops, historical landmarks, parks and restaurants. There are many great restaurants in Nashville, especially Italian restaurants. There are various Italian restaurants scattered throughout the city of Nashville. So, I will list, describe, and provide details of the top 8 Italian restaurant, in my opinion, located in Nashville.

Sole Mio
Sole Mio is one of the best Italian restaurants that I have ever been to, not only in Nashville, but throughout the United States. They are just minutes away from downtown Nashville. The atmosphere of this restaurant is very festive, and you feel as if you are in Italy. The food is very authentic and you can tell that they take the time and care when preparing the food. You will feel very comfortable and relaxed once you sit down at the table. Sole Mio has won numerous awards since opening up in Nashville in 1995, and it is easy to see why. They have a elegant dining room, as well as excellent gourmet food to go along with it. The must haves on their menu include: lasagna al forno, manicotti, award-winning pizza, deserts, and superb wines. This restaurant is not really for families, but more for couples looking to have a romantic dinner. The cost of their food is quite high compared to other Italian restaurants in Nashville. The entrees range from 31-40 dollars, and be prepared to get dressed up when dining at Sole Mio.

Carabba's Italian Grille
This is very fun and festive Italian restaurant. As soon as you walk in the door you will see family photos of the owners decorating the walls. Carabba's is family and kid-friendly. They have tables that will accommodate any party from 1 to 30, definitely set up to host groups and families, as opposed to many restaurant that only contain tables for 2 or 4. The atmosphere is full of fun and excitement, an open kitchen located by the bar only adds to the excitement, due to the fact that people can watch the cooks prepare food. Service is fast and friendly, only making the experience of dining at Carabba's Italian Grille even better. They have a variety of traditional Italian meals on their menu, but they are best known for their fettuccine alfredo, their steak and chicken marsala, and awesome spaghetti. This restaurant is very casual, and their prices are somewhat average for an Italian restaurant in Nashville. Their entrees range anywhere from 13-30 dollars. You will definitely have a great time and a great meal at Carabba's Italian Grille in Nashville.

Angelo's Picnic Pizza
Angelo's is another family and kid-friendly restaurant located in Nashville. You will notice right away that this place has a very fun and care-free environment, and any family would enjoy dining here. Their service is friendly, polite, and they treat their customers with respect. This is a great restaurant, especially if you aren't in the mood for anything fancy. They specialize in making pizza, calzones, pasta, and sandwiches. Their prices are very low, with nothing costing over 20 dollars. You get a lot of food at Angelo's for your money, so if you are going to have lunch or dinner here be prepared to eat. Adults and kids will enjoy Angelo's Picnic Pizza, because they have great food and a great atmosphere.

Caesar's Ristorante Italiano
Caesar's is a traditional Italian restaurant, but you would not think this if you saw the outside of their building. They are located in a strip center, and looks just like any ordinary restaurant, but this is not the case. Once you walk in the door, you feel as if you are entering a small city in Italy. You will notice the candlelit tables, you will see traditional Italian decorations hanging among the walls, and you will hear classic Italian music playing on the speakers. I would say that this restaurant is for smaller groups such as couples, or small families, because they do not have many bigger tables and the dining area is not very loud, because they want it to a peaceful and relaxing experience. Caesars has somewhat of a homey feeling, the atmosphere of this place is warm and cozy. The food is great, and it also goes along with the homey feeling, because all of their pasta is homemade and made from scratch. Some of their popular dishes include lasagna, rigatoni, spaghetti, and manicotti. Be prepared to eat, because they have large portions. The food is reasonably priced ranging anywhere from 10-30 dollars per entrée. The staff definitely treats you like family, they are fast, friendly, and helpful. If you are looking for great quality Italian food at a reasonable price I would definitely stop by Caesar's Ristorante Italiano.

Nick's Italian Deli
Nick's is a very popular Italian deli in Nashville. They are always constantly busy for both lunch and dinner. This is a fast service type of a place, its not really a sit-down, take your time restaurant. The atmosphere here is somewhat hectic, because it needs to be quick and fast when people are getting their food because they are serving huge amounts of people. But, Nick's is definitely worth it, their service is fast, friendly, and they are just worried about making the customer happy. Nick's has a cafeteria-style line, where you line up and walk along and tell the server which dishes you would like. They have everything from pizza, pasta, and subs. Their prices are cheap, but they do skip on quality. Any dish at Nick's will not cost you more than 20 dollars. This would be a great place to take a family! They have excellent food, excellent prices, and excellent service!

Amerigo
If you are looking for fine Italian dining Amerigo is your place. This Italian bistro is on the west end of Nashville and is critically acclaimed and I can definitely see why. Their atmosphere is cozy, warm, and comfortable. They have a dimly lit dining room, and it is beautifully decorated making this a definitely upscale restaurant. Their service is fast, friendly, and upbeat. I would recommend this restaurant for a couple looking for a romantic experience, but they do have private dining rooms that can be reserved for large groups. All of their food is fresh and of high quality. They have a great selection of food and wines with their most popular entrees being wood-fired pizza, seafood pastas, among other classic Italian dishes. The cost of their food is a little high compared to other Italian restaurants in Nashville with their entrees ranging from 18-30 dollars. I would recommend Amerigo to anyone visiting or living in Nashville if they are looking for great Italian food to go along with great service.

Romano's Macaroni Grill
Romano's is a restaurant that can be enjoyed by all-ages. You can definitely feel the energy when you walk in the door. Romano's is an upbeat and fun restaurant. They have an open kitchen where you and your family can watch the chefs dressed in white hats and red scarves prepare food. The atmosphere is wonderful and fun. Their menu has a huge selection of family- sized portions ranging from pasta to pizza to seafood, anything you can think of they have it. A unique thing about Romano's is that each table is supplied with a huge jug of Romano's house wine, and depending on how much of it you drink that is how much you will get charged. This place is great for families, and definitely an awesome place to celebrate special occasions. Their staff is friendly, helpful, and fast! The food can range anywhere from 18-30 dollars, but you have to remember that most of their entrees are family-sized portions. I would definitely recommend Romano's Macaroni Grill to anyone looking for delicious food, friendly service, and an all-around great time!

The Old Spaghetti Factory
The Old Spaghetti Factory in Nashville has been around for a long time, and it is easy to see why. When you first walk in you will see that the restaurant is filled and decorated with antiques and other decorative items that have been collected from all over the world. This restaurant is family-friendly and has a very fun and upbeat atmosphere. They have banquet and private rooms that can be reserved for larger parties, these rooms can accommodate up to 75 or more people. This is a great place to celebrate special occasions, host events, and/or just to have a nice sit-down meal. They have a huge selection of foods on their menu, and even their kid-menu has a wide variety of options. Some of their most popular items are the baked lasagna, fettuccine alfredo, and of course their spaghetti. They use the finest ingredients to make their food, and you can definitely taste the difference. Their meals are also accompanied by salad, bread, and ice cream. The food is reasonable priced with their meals ranging from 15-30 dollars. If you are looking for good food, great service, and a unique experience, I would recommend eating at The Old Spaghetti Factory in Nashville.
