Items to Keep in Your Purse

Erin Duff
There's a lot to be said about what a woman carries in her purse. Take a look inside, and you'll see what secrets she hides, what she's obsessed with, and what her hobbies are. As for me, I find that I need the following essentials ready to go, already in my purse, before I leave my house.

#1: iPhone I rarely, if ever, leave my house without my iPhone. It's my communication source, my map, my information hub, and at times, my music player. Not only does it keep me in the loop, but it feeds my Twitter addiction. Hey, at least I can admit it.

#2: Wallet Obviously, a wallet is an important item for a woman's purse. It holds ID's, bank cards, and your driver's license, among other things. If you don't have your wallet, how can you pay for your purchases?

#3: Brush I have very long hair, and constantly find myself brushing it. I'm a little picky with what I use, so it's best that my brush and other hair accessories are in my purse as well.

#4: Lipstick/Chapstick I don't wear too much makeup, but prefer that I have something for my lips. If you need a quick pick-me-up, apply some color to your lips. It adds a nice touch when you're going out to a nice dinner, and can make you feel more confident if you feel you look better.

#5: Pens & Writing Materials I always have pens and something to write on in my purse, as I never know who I'll see or what I'll need to write down throughout the day. It's helpful to have these with me, because then I always feel prepared.

#6: iPod Music is very important to me, and I have a very large collection of various artists on my iPod. It's always in my purse so that wherever I go, I can listen to my iPod in the car. It's also helpful if I'm in a waiting room for a long period of time, because it can help block out unwanted noise.

These items are the items I never leave the house without, as they are essential for my daily activities. If you took a peek in my purse now you would see that they are all there, along with various other items that find their way in to my purse at some point or the other.
