Are you about to depart for living on a dorm as a university student? If this is correct, there are certain items you need to take. You will learn what to pack for college dorm life.

You must take an alarm clock. It is imperative to make it nearly impossible to wake up too late to get to class on time.

It is helpful to take a small radio. Listening to music you like can help reduce your stress.

How about taking a small television set? In case your room does not already have one, you will have the convenience of being able to watch television whenever you want while not having to worry about sharing a set with a lot of other dorm residents outside of your room.

It is hard to go wrong taking a good tape recorder. Using this device in class can enable you to catch everything the professor says.

It would be smart to take one or two blankets. This will really come in handy during the coldest months.

How about taking a pillow too? You need to make your sleep as comfortable as possible.

It is helpful to take most of your clothes. The more clothes you have on hand, the better.

You should not neglect to take a flashlight. You might experience a power outage at some point.

It is wise to take batteries. You may need these for your flashlight or radio if your power goes out.

Do you like to play sports and engage in physical activity? If so, you should take some of the gear you have such as a basketball, a pair of roller skates or roller blades and a tennis racket along with a can of tennis balls.

It is necessary to take a notebook, pencils and other stationery items. After all, you will have to take notes and write other things down.

If you have a laptop, you should take it. Your room might not already provide a computer; besides, you might sometimes need to do some work on a computer late at night when the computer labs and libraries are closed.

You must take a flash drive stick or a pack of compact discs that let you save the information you type in. This will especially come in handy if you do not have your own desktop computer that includes a printer.

How about taking a cell phone? This will especially be useful if there is an emergency and you do not have a landline phone in your room.

You have learned what to pack for college dorm life.
