After losing their first game of the tournament in overtime the Brooklyn Oilers haven't lost since. Putting together a string of six straight victories, the Winter Cup II title is theirs and will be etched on the Kings Bay Cup.

In today's opener Brooklyn took a two nothing lead into the final session on two Sean McAllister goals and then they would win the final session 2-1 adding up to a 4-1 win. The win put them into the Finals against Morris Park Devils although with one loss for the Brooklyn Oilers the title would go to Morris Park.

The Oilers would still need two more wins as Morris Park Devils were undefeated up to this point. Feeding off their pervious win the Brooklyn Oilers went right back to work. Connecting six times in the first they added two more goals in the final session took the win and set up the final game of the tournament. Winner take all!

Morris Park would turn their level of play up in the final game of the Second Winter Cup as they would put many pucks at Oilers goalie Greg Post. However Post was on his game all day making many big saves while only giving up a total of three total goals in the three games played.

With the Oilers putting home goals at 12:10 and again at 3:13 Morris Park would break on through the Post wall at :51 of the first cutting the Oilers lead in half heading into the final session.

Number 42 of the Brooklyn Oilers would give his team a two goal lead back only to see Morris Park get back within one again with 8:46 to play. A one goal game with time winding down and then 42 of the Oilers would strike again and put the game away for good as this one would end in a 4-2 favor of the Brooklyn Oilers.

The Winter Cup II Champions are the Brooklyn Oilers! Hat's off to all teams who participated in the tournament and making it a big success as we look forward to hosting Winter Cup III in late October.
