We started out producing weekly live TV shows. It's All Good In The Hood TV Show is the duo #1 production. The show is syndicated and airs in the state of Louisiana and Rhode Island. The show highlights local and national music artist.
In the beginning business was great, then came Hurricane Katrina. Relocating was a wake up call for all of us. Nothing in my life or business was the same. I no longer had my home or my office. I had nothing but the clothes on my back. My customers were all over the world struggling to survive. I was in a new city with no customers. It was times I didn't know what to do and I began to wonder about a career change. I was relocated to New York and what we did in New Orleans was ancient. I knew if I would continue my business in New York, I'd have to go back to production school. Facing that reality I became aware that I needed to brush up on my skills. I needed to learn graphics, animation, audio, Final Cut and so much more. Our business needed a makeover.
We returned to Louisiana, opened up and began tape duplicating, editing, creating web sites and producing music videos. We had to change up and get with the new wave of things. The staff returned to school and learned everything we needed to make our business more competitive. Now we are designing logo's, web pages, artist EPK's, refinishing photo's, designing brochures, children books and CD Designs.
We are not afraid to think out the box. We have surely felt the effects of the recession but determination keeps us going. Nothing worth anything is easily gained. Days when we are not producing TV Shows, we are designing, producing and writing articles on Associated Content.
Being an entrepreneur is not easy and everyday is not a box of chocolates. Days when I get a little down, I look at all the businesses that are up and running. They too had a dream and went for it and that gives me the courage to open my doors and fulfill my dream too. We take one journey at a time and we must play the cards we are dealt. Life, love and work it not a destination but rather a journey we'll never forget. I was once told that it's not too bad if you don't reach your goal but its truly sad when you don't have a goal to reach.
