It's All About the Killer on 13 Fear is Real

Tonight's 13: Fear is Real was all about the killer who was the topic of all the players and focus of many bad horror movie references. Following the return of Adam and Nasser the players went to bed and woke up somewhat spooked. Ryan has been hardly shown since now but had a bad night. He's worried that the chainsaw massacre will kill him in the night.... yeah. Does he not realize he's on a REALITY SHOW. Of course some is real but all the fear is fake Ryan, trust me they won't let any real killers around you. Talk then turned to the killer who was still unknown. Adam put the blame on Ted for the killer box while everyone else focused on Steffinie. Cody pushed for her as the killer as he watches her moves, some jumped on the bandwagon but others were about just getting it out there. Melyssa began calling the killer a wuss and taunting whoever it is to kill. Leah jumped in on the fun, not sure why considering she's the most scared of all, unless its an act and she really IS the killer! I doubt that but oh well. Ted ended up being the main target in the end, showing nobody has a clue who the killer is. Not even us as they only appear in shadow and behind a very freaky voice.

With night falling it was time for some scare tactics as Rodney freaked out. He went out by the showers and decided to just watch and learn, hoping to catch something. Not sure how he would really see anything though, considering producers would probably block whoever IS the killer from his view. The next morning a few of the girls went to the shower and saw Rodney sleeping behind the shower. That added him to the list of suspects, apparently anything can make you a suspect though. Melyssa called him out about why he was sitting there and he told her the truth. Obviously nobody would believe him as he turned it back to Ted and Steffinie. Talking about Steffinie some weird stuff happened while she was fishing. A hand sprung up to the camera out of nowhere as Steff threw her bobber towards an alligator. She somehow then fell into the lagoon, freaking out and "almost dieing". It seemed a bit dramatic but hey, aren't all horror flicks?

After Steff get out of the water the phone rang and the Mastermind told the players to set adrift on a makeshift raft, only if they dare. A few of the guys headed out across the lagoon towards another path and found a box. Inside they found beer and wine, something they were not expecting. Of course it wouldn't be a reality show without alcohol and after depriving these guys of food and drink for a few days producers knew they would get more then buzzed. As the other players drank their prize away some dispersed. Ted went fishing, Rodney went to take a shower and Erica took a trip to the kitchen. It was obvious something was going on and once again Steff had some trouble at the fishing hole. Some SCARY camera angles shot her fishing then screaming "no no oh my God". Of course it was the "killer" as everyone walked inside to find a bloody glove on Steffinie's bed. The Mastermind then came over the loudspeaker and said that one of them killed Steffinie. Everyone began to freak as she was killed in the cabin, which now makes even me who the killer could be.

Talk about the killer then began to get a bit crazy as everyone spoke amongst each other. They were all sitting around and all were around each other so nobody has a clue. With everyone wanting the killer to kill it was only a matter of time until they pulled the plug on someone. I'm shocked, and sad, it was Steff though since she was fun to watch and her being one of the biggest suspects doesn't help them either. As talk began Erica became a new target as she was the only one in the cabin when Steff was. What doesn't make sense is Steff was killed while fishing, not in the cabin. That makes me believe it could be Ted, just as many other suspect. Night fell again and five were told to leave the cabin down the road. With only ten players left the cast was split in two as the wanderers were grabbed and taken by the minions. Those at the cabin were then told to sit outside the cabin in a chosen chair. Those who followed the path were blindfolded and given one piece of a puzzle pentagram. The other five were given maps to other puzzle pieces and a walkie talkie to help their partner find the other puzzles.

Leah/Melyssa, Kelly/Cody, Ted/Rodney, Erica/Ryan and Adam/Nasser were the partners. The last team to put the puzzle together would go to the execution ceremony and one more would be killed off. Ted and Rodney were off first with Rodney finding more then a puzzle piece in a snake. Erica had Ryann a bit agitated as her direction skills weren't to great. Adam was led by Nasser and also came across a few spooks. He found the barrel with the puzzle piece and had to climb inside to grab it. Inside were more snakes, proving a bit fear-factorish. Kelly was the one walking and stumbled upon the baby heads. She grabbed a piece from one babies butt and was quickly on her way. More snakes found Ted as a barrel of them were used to hide another piece. Melyssa was having issues grabbing a bug covered puzzle piece, wait until she gets to the snakes. Adam and Melyssa were the first two back to the alter with all five pieces and began their work. Erica was still freaking out along the way as Ryan simply stopped giving her directions. Kelly somehow got back to the alter as well and finished first, followed by Adam and Melyssa. Erica ended up at the alter as well, but was a puzzle short. Letting Ted catch up and finish, sending both Erica and Ryan to the execution ceremony. Guess we know why Ryan was getting more airtime this episode.

Back at camp Ryan wasn't mad at Erica, although h should have been. They were going to the execution and once again another killer suspect was possibly going to leave. I don't know what if the killer leaves due to execution and the girls brought up something interesting. All three goners are girls and they don't want Erica to leave. They're beginning a battle of the sexes, which could get interesting, but with no voting off alliances just don't make sense. Night fell once again and Erica being the suspect became a prominent topic. She heard them telling Ryan to knock her out as the guys talked about knocking out the girls. Ryan didn't want to be the first guy to leave, and with editing it seems he might be. They finally got their call from the Mastermind and were sent for their execution. After blindfolding themselves the two were tied to a tree and shackled. With Ryan being freaked about the chainsaw massacre it seemed he wouldn't be too happy with this one as dogs and other freaky stuffed was heard in the woods, coming straight at them. The first to untie themselves from the tree would remain safe and the other would be killed of. After the dogs left it was time for Ryan's worst fear: chainsaws. They began toppling trees right in front of them as the camera shook for added "fear". With explosions in the background Erica ran off with Ryan still far behind. He was killed off by a falling tree. No for real, it's a reality tv show so he really must be dead! As Erica returned the girls were excited, bumming out the guys. They watched Ryan's video and all let out an "awww". It seems somewhat suspicious Ryan would get the chainsaw execution after a night of nightmares about them. It seems as if it was all planned. Hmm.

In the end 13: Fear is Real killed off two people and still is nowhere near showing who the real killer is. It's refreshing to see a new show reformat the working features from other shows into an enjoyable show that you can laugh at. I know its not supposed to be funny, but just like many other cheesy low budget horror movies it's just more funny then scary.
