This was not a random off the cuff event - he and his recently acquired associates had been planning this for several weeks. An ill-gotten sum of $200,000 had staked the venture and before you can say "What Happened?" our nimble mastermind made his way quickly to his waiting motorcysle and had passed off the loot to a beautiful accompanist (Julia Roberts in my movie!) who had in turn fed them to other accompanists already 'playing' in high number stakes at high end tables.
Simple really.
To cover additional basis, three beautiful high-end (I speak of their table stakes not their rear ends) dealers had been enroled in the hoist and were also switching high value chips for less conspicuous ones as their shifts concluded.
As the title of part ll declares, "it's all about the laundry".
It's one thing to be able to walk into a high stakes casino, brandish a gun and leave with $1.5 million in gaming chips - it's what happens next that really matters.
What exactly do you do with chips as high as $250,000? Certainly if you show up the next day at the casino cage with your loot in hand there is little to NO chance that you will succeed in cashing them and for that matter avoid being arrested.
Those chips have got to be cashed almost before everyone knows their missing or at the very least switched for a more disposable demonination. I believe this is refered to as "Laundering"
But lets for a minute look at another scenario - suppose that our mastermind as I have suggested is a Casino Manager who just happens to work in the cage or some significant position in the 'cash handling' section. I don't know enough about the procedures to give him a title but someone who would have little difficulty in also switching denominations.
Would it not be possible for him to switch out the ill-gotten gains over a fairly short period without raising suspicion?
Well Hollywood - here I am - plot and characters in hand, and a long felt desire to create the next blockbuster movie!
What are you waiting for. You'll find my contact on my web site...I'm waiting.
