It's All Yours

H. Kris Thomas
You lied
I found you out
But that don't matter
I love you anyway

I heard you ask my forgiveness
It's all yours
And so am I

You burned down our home
Lit matches and singed away the Incense of our love
Until it was spent

And I won't miss that old bed
Those old treasures that I once kept
They mean nothing
And you mean everything

I heard you ask my forgiveness
It's all yours
And so am I

You cried all night
Your head in my lap
Your tears wetting the palms of your hands

Remorse no more
Fear no more
You asked my forgiveness
It's all yours and so am I

Lovely poem! It makes me glad I am middle-aged and no longer concerned with the roller coaster that is romance! :D
