It's April First!
It was delightfully fun
Happy April Fool!

My sister was flying to Boston today and I casually "remembered" that she had called while my mother was out. I told my mother she got on the wrong plane and ended up in Alaska. Mom gasped. Her hand to her mouth, I elaborated. "Yes, and there isn't another flight out for three days due to a big storm!" My poor mother looked so aghast I relented and cried out "April Fool!" What fun! Then, I felt a little guilty!
Even though I played this little joke on my mother, she was such a good sport! After laughing, she still made us a delicious strawberry shortcake for dessert. There were no hard feelings, my dessert had just as many berries as hers!
