Pizza for breakfast! Why mess around with yogurt, cottage cheese, or some other mamby pamby healthy breakfast? If pizza is good enough for dinner on Friday nights, then it's even better as breakfast. Imagine the delight on a child's face as they bite into their favorite food for breakfast (providing that there is any left after waking in the night and gobbling up some slices). Pizza for breakfast (if there's any left) is awesome!
Worship Saturdays! Taking the children to church on a Saturday night is awesome. Not only does it allow extra time to watch plenty of football on Sunday, but Saturday nights at church is fantastic! Contemporary Christian music played with guitars and drums, a lively message by the pastor on being saved through belief in our Savior Jesus, and a favorite restaurant to go to after the service. Awesome!
Date Night! While taking care of the children twenty four/seven, one does have to allow for some affection of the opposite sex. With many options available in the babysitting world, it's easy to plan a night out with one of the single moms that you met through your children's friends. The single mom is hungry for affection, and loves a real man when she meets him. Awesome!
Homework Time! Who better to teach your children about school than someone who mastered the science of homework many years ago? Who's the greatest president ever? Abraham Lincoln. Why? He's on the five dollar bill! Awesome!
Improv bedtime stories! Forget about the happy endings. Life is tough. Grab a book, start reading, then make up your own story, making the dad and his children the heroes. '...and then the dad met the beautiful princess (for the daughter), helped the princess pick out a new swimsuit (for the dad), and conquered the evil space aliens trying to conquer the world (for the son)..." Awesome!
There are many ways to become an awesome single dad. Show your children constant love, know they'll be grown up and gone in a few years, and live life to the fullest!
