Wow after giving it a chance, took about 20 minutes, then I was hooked. The singing was great actually everything was perfect. It is one of those movies that you want to see right after you just saw it. Kinda like the Sixth Sense. I have to admit that I watched it 3 times because the third time I watched it with the captions on. Each time I watched the movie it made more sense and seemed to get better. I do wish I had that smart sound feature on my tv because when they speak it is low but then the music gets very loud. Borat's part was awesome! The little boy "Toby" sang beautifully.
Overall it is a great film, not scary and the gore isn't too bad it looks like the old time horror movies. Plus they sort of warn you when to look away so there are no surprises. If you are squeamish about roaches they are only in the beginning when you are introduced to Mrs. Lovett, just thought that would have been nice to know ahead of time because it is my biggest phobia.
