It's Decided: Who Are the Four Finalists for Season 5 of America's Got Talent?
How Did the Votes Fall?
Prince Poppycock. His rousing, original, uproarious twist as our Yankee Doodle Dandy was merely a cherry on top of his season of incredible performances. He manages to outdo himself every time, so look for something amazing next week! His touching remarks in gratitude for the votes implored other young people "on the outside" to look to him and know that dreams do come true. He has a story to match his talents.
Michael Grimm. The man from Mississippi with the ageless, soulful voice became an all-new performer this week, no longer hiding behind his guitar. He connected with the audience and with America, and there's already a disk and download public waiting for his kind of music! His humble, heartfelt thanks reflected the learning along his compelling life journey. He is on the way to better days that last.
Jackie Evancho. She has the most phenomenal voice ever to be heard on any talent competition stage, and the unaffected spirit of the 10-year-old girl from the Pittsburgh neighborhood! Practice indeed made something perfect for Jackie, and no one who hears her can dispute the touch of the divine. She says she has something special in-store for next week. How much more special can it get?
Fighting Gravity. The fraternity brothers did it again this week, mesmerizing the crowd with their act that defies description or boundaries. They are in for a long run in Las Vegas, whether it comes next week or a little later. No one does what they do!
The cast of Broadway's Tony-winning American Idiot performed with irrefutable punk power, and Sarah McLachlan offered an intimate version of her song, Forgiveness, from her album, Laws of Illusion.
