It's Eagles Vs. Cowboys Game Time to Begin 2010 NFC Playoffs

Philadelphia and Dallas Face Off One Last Time in 2010 for Playoff Supremacy

Game time has arrived for The Eagles vs. Cowboys once again. This will be the third time it's been Eagles vs. Cowboys this season, and Saturday's game becomes the most important one of the season. This is the NFC Playoff opener, with Philadelphia traveling to Dallas to take on the Cowboys in their brand new stadium. This is why Jerry Jones built the stadium, to host games like this one, and it is sure to be an exciting night in Dallas. These two teams ended the regular season against each other, with Dallas taking home a decidedly one-sided victory to help them become the NFC East champions.

Dallas gained the home field advantage for this game by winning the NFC East, and they come in as the 3rd seed in the NFC. Dallas finished the season with an overall record of 11-5, and broke the curse that has plagued the Cowboys in December and January the past few seasons. That curse could of course be re-visited on Saturday if Dallas doesn't play up to their talent level. Philadelphia on the other hand, had a chance to clinch the #2 seed in the NFC Playoffs if they had just won in week 17, but instead find themselves as the #6 seed, and a guarantee that all of their playoff games will be on the road this season.

This is one of the best rivalry games in the first round of the NFL Playoffs this year, and it seems like it could be a really close one for these two teams. Dallas handled Philadelphia very easily in their week 17 game, so the Eagles had better had some strategies up their sleeves if they play on making this one a tad more competitive than last Sunday. Both teams have the talent to win this game, with Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo looking to gain some respect in the playoffs, and Eagles quarterback Donavan McNabb coming in with a bevy of playoff experience already under his belt. The quarterbacks are talented enough, meaning that this game could come down to the running game and which team can stop it.

The Eagles vs. Cowboys start time is 5:00 P.M. PST (8:00 P.M. EST) on NBC.
