There is a unique story in the Bible-it involves a man named Job. Satan wanted to prove to God that His faithful servant, Job would curse God to His face if God removed His hedge from Job. Before Satan coordinated his attack on Job, he asked God, "Hast not Thou made a hedge about him and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? Thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance hath increased in the land. (Job 1:10)" Ultimately, God temporarily lifted the hedge around Job and Satan destroyed all that Job held dear. Dakes Annotated Bible explained, "Satan brings about the actual happenings of accidents, sickness, disease, and calamity, then causes men to think that God brings these things to pass. Thus God is blamed erroneously for the work of the devil by millions. Permission of God is never the same as the work of Satan after permission is granted to him: withdrawing protection and allowing another to destroy it is not the same as the destruction itself." Many people questioned how God could allow 9/11 to happen and our nation had a very brief moment of repentance after 9/11. However, our sins are even worse than they were pre-9/11. Whatever hedge we had left must surely be gone because the hedge of the United States appears to be lifted.
Over the past several months various foreign companies have purchased American companies like hotcakes due to the decreased value of the dollar. Headlines read:
- Borse Dubai takes key stakes in both the London Stock Exchange and Nasdaq.
- Abu Dhabi takes ownership stake in Carlyle Group.
- Chrysler Building on the block sovereign Arab fund to pay $800 million.
It's more evidence that our nation hedge has been comprised. Psalm 80:12 asks, "Why hast thou then broken down her hedges, so that all they which pass by the way do pluck her?" This is spoken from the judgment that Jerusalem faced when she sinned against the Lord. Does our nation have any more fruit left? Many citizens are in debt, major businesses are suffering, and renowned industries are going bankrupt. The government and courts in our country need to call for every citizen to seek the Lord and repent for the sin of our nation.
The same sex laws passed in California by the Californian Supreme Court and the demand by New York governor that all same sex unions are recognized has certainly opened the door for the enemy, forcing God's protection to be removed. Sodom and Gomorrah is a perfect example of the judgment received to particular places that blatantly ignored the commandments of God. By condoning sin, the state officials in California and New York are fully putting their seal of approval on what God calls an abomination. The hedge has irreverently been lifted. One of the must striking descriptions of a hedge being comprised is listed in Ezekiel 22:30, "And I sought for a man among them that should make up the hedge and stand in the gap before Me for the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found none." It details how the Lord sought for an intercessor for the coming judgment to fill in the gap of the hedge-this is the same scenario as Sodom and Gomorrah when the Lord could not find one righteous person in the city before he destroyed it. Can this apply to California and New York due to their recent abominations endorsed by the state's highest officials?
During this season, one should be aware of the judgment of God. I get it-the majority of Americans do not believe that there is God-let alone a God who delivers judgment for willful disobedience. Evilness and iniquity are overwhelmingly prevalent in our nation and throughout this world. The end quickly approaching is only the beginning. However, there is no need to have fear, Jesus said, "Teach them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (Matthew 28:20)" Remember this scripture, for the coming days will be very difficult and taxing on your spirit-hold fast and draw nearer to the Lord and He will see you through all trials and tribulations. When the hedge is ultimately removed, do not look to God for blame, He has given our nation mercy and time to call on His name. America did not obey. Ask Him for guidance and to shelter you from the storm.

Post a CommentNevada York, Iove not only the insight you have and the clarity with which you write, but mainly the fact that you offer hope at the end of your article. So often the world views us Christians as only being judgmental. Your article states the facts in an undeniable way, then offers hope to anyone who will seek it and hear it. Good job.
Yes, the world is indeed getting worser. I'm glad that many people are still open to receiving the message to repent in this day and age. Thanks for the comments.
Yes, the Bible says times wil get worse..........and if I have made the right decision, it will not affect me or mine. I have made that decision. Thanks for the reminder. Glad to see you writing again.
Nevada your message about The Nation and The World needing to Repent is one that I truely believe. Keep spreading the truth and let the light shine on darkness!
Nevada York, you have a great insight to what going on on planet earth. I totally agree with you 100% living her in California I am a witness that God, has indeed shut up the heavens that for the past several month we have not had any rain nor dew. The stock market are falling all over the world as sin runs a monk in the land. However, before the end of the world comes the next thing on God's agenda is the gathering of his saints up to Heaven with him. The dead shall rise first and those who remain shall be changed in a moment of a tinkle of an eye to be with the LORD, forever!!!! Then there shall be great tribulation such as never been before which will last for seven years. Then the Lord shall return to earth twith his Saints to defend Israel in the battle of Armagdon. Afterwards Satan shall be bound and Christ shall reign on this earth for 1000 years. Once again Satan shall be loosed to deceive that generation. Bottom line for every [cause ]there is an [effect] for Sin.
