If one could travel to the edge of our Milky Way Galaxy, perhaps about 30,000 light years from our position in the Galaxy, or 175,970,880,000,000,000 miles (I'm not even sure how to say that number, but I think it's "175 quadrillion, 970 trillion, 880 billion"), things might look like this:
-Our planet would be no more than a barely visible speck in a Galaxy of billions of other specks that all look pretty much alike from this vantage point.
-Our life-supporting atmosphere is so thin (maximum: 100 miles thick) and fragile, it might resemble a tiny air-bubble around our tiny speck.
-Our all-important moon, just 1/4 of the size of earth, and 1/50 of its volume, probably would not even be apparent from this viewpoint.
-Our whole solar-system, with its eight or nine planets (depending on who you ask) might look and behave like an atom looks and behaves, as we know from observing under powerful microscopes; like electrons and protons (planets) orbiting a nucleus (sun).
-Our ever-present sun, with its mass making up 99.8% of our solar-system's total mass, might look like the nucleus of the atom, as above, or perhaps like a faint, distant star, much like the billions of other faint, distant stars all around.
So...sometimes when I think about how small we really are, and when I realize how fragile or planet and even our solar system and galaxy really are, I'm truly amazed at how harmoniously and truly balanced everything seems to be.......except maybe some of the conditions between human beings here on Earth.
How sad that we, the tiny creatures inhabiting this tiny speck in this tiny solar-system can't learn to live in peace and harmony; especially when our very existence was made possible through those forces working their balance and harmony from the "beginning". When God started His Grand Plan in motion, it was with His Love, His Peace and His Harmony built into it; thus, it will not fail. It may take more time, but His Plan will ultimately be fulfilled, because He said:
"So will my word be which goes out of my mouth: it will not come back to me with nothing done, but it will give effect to my purpose, and do that for which I have sent it" (Holy Bible, BBE, Isaiah 55:11).
He also said:
"This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them" (Holy Bible, KJV, Hebrews 10:16).
So, God is still working with us, I'd say...may we all learn to better understand the true meaning of Love, Peace and Harmony; and may we learn to live according to those principles every day.
