It's July 4th in Central Orange County, California

It's one thing about Central Orange County, Calif., -- they love to celebrate the fourth of July! The best part is that some areas, not just the famous Surf City (Huntington Beach) there are all day family events going on. Of course, the most notable and most crowded celebrations are at not only Huntington Beach, but Newport Beach as well. But some of the other Central cities have a good deal to get involved in as well!

Many cities have a fireworks display going on, provided by the Orange County Fire Authority, they have suggested everyone log onto their website, www.ocfa.org
for a full list of best sites and times. Most will be set off around 9 p.m..

Many cities will be starting early with Pancake Breakfasts, 5K races, fairs, carnivals and even some concerts, here are a few that have always been considered to be the best to check out:

Huntington Beach not only has the above mentioned, but a parade and an entertainment plaza at the famous pier as well. For a full list of information, go to www.hb4thofjuly.org

Newport Beach's Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort has it's yearly festivities starting at 11 a.m.. The resort area is very popular and parking is limited, so for this celebration the parking fee goes up to $30 per car. Games, raffles, food and a family volleyball tournament are just some of the goings on at this usually private facility. More information can be found at www.newportdunes.com or call 949-729-3863.

Going inland, Irvine will open the Irvine High School Football Stadium at 3 p.m. and have live music, food and children's activities. They will have fireworks. Admission: $12 for adults and $7 for children under 13. For more information click onto: ci.irvine.ca.us

Los Alamitos will have the 20th annual Independence Day Spectacular. This city combines with Seal Beach, Rossmoor and Cypress and the military at the Joint Forces Training Base. The party starts at 4p.m. and ends after the 9 p.m. fireworks display. For more information, there is no website, but you can call: 562-430-1073.

Tustin will have a tribute to the Rolling Stones with the band Jumping Jack Flash performing. Fireworks will begin at 9 p.m. at the Tustin High School Football Stadium. This one is FREE! For more information, call 714-573-3326.

Westminster will have a special fireworks show not only in honor of July 4th, but it's 50th anniversary as well.

The Orange County Register is presenting a concert at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater with the Pacific Symphony and Papa Doo Run Run. Tickets are on sale from $21-$101. For more information go to www.ticketmaster.com
