Thank You Mr. Spielberg, and every movie is magic at least for its creator, we the critiques might think otherwise but it is only fair that we focus on the film Festival aspect that make up the sun-city, and only fair to represent every festival. Whether it be a festival that just launched or a veteran festival, and here I will be representing two of the sun-city's festival which I promise that at least one of the two represented festival will suite your needs.

The Frontera Pride Film Festival
Date: June 18th & 19th, 2010
Where: Downtown, El Paso at the Plaza Theater
Price: Not Specified, tried to contact someone that could give me this information but had no luck, From what I see its on a donation basis, and or can estimate that the price will not exceed over 10$ and 30$ for the festival pass (the festival pass is a guarantee factual price)

About Frontera Pride

The Frontera Pride Film Festival was founded to represent the stories of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community through film exhibitions. It launched on June 2009, with the theme "Building Bridges Across Borders". The Frontera Pride Film Festival is led by Art and Culture focused committe of Volunteers with the Board Head Brenda Risch Ph.D. The purpose of the Frontera Pride Film Festival is to create a community event. The Frontera Pride Film Festival and does have festival passes which are 30$ its proceeds support the expansion and funds young LGBT filmmakers in the El Paso Region, For more information on the festival or these passes please visit the link below.

Brenda Risch Ph.D is also the director of the Women's Studies department at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) and of the film festival committee. "This is an opportunity to become more familiar with people you may not be familiar with; to learn about a culture and a subculture that is different maybe in a way that you have experienced,"

About The Plaza Classic Film Festival

The Plaza Classic Film Festival venue has been around for a couple of years. Since 2008 the plaza theater decided to "rekindle the joy of communal film going" The Plaza Theater has been around since 1930 it was built during the great depression and at the time cost 1 million dollars. In the late seventies it was due for to be demolished, but due to grassroots arose to save the theater it was spared from being demolished. Years later and 30 million dollars this classic theater was restored. Now it host a wide arrange of venues. In 2008 it added a 50' wide-screen and a state of the art digital projection system. The Plaza Classic Film Festival event was create to educate audiences about the history and art of cinema, not to mention it is a nostalgic trip for many. This venue is not only about classic film, the Plaza Theater committee is also uses the festival to showcase the talents of local independent filmmakers. The most amazing thing about this festival is that its a non-commercial, all volunteer event, and all proceeds are used to provide grants to local film makers, and supports educational initiatives in El Paso.
