It's Now Possible to Watch Hulu Outside the USA!

And It's Not that Difficult

Roderick Brenes
For Hulu fans across the world, it has been impossible until now to watch Hulu outside the USA. Why? For copyright and piracy protection, Hulu has banned IP address originating from outside America, so when you try to watch Hulu from outside the USA, your are unable to. It's unfair, right? We, not just American's should be able to enjoy cool shows and stuff that Hulu provides. Not only that, it free, and high quality!

So what do you have to do to watch Hulu outside the USA? You have to get a vpn. A vpn is a bit of software that you can download off the internet for a few dollars a month. Using a vpn means that you'll change the IP address of your computer to an American one. So even if you're in Europe, Canada, or anywhere else in the world, you too can enjoy Hulu.

What kind of Hulu vpn should you get? There are lots of choices out there but in general, when choosing a vpn company to watch Hulu outside the USA, you should keep these things in mind.

Free switching of IP addresses and servers is a major plus. Many companies will tell you that their vpns are cheaper, but most of the time that's because either they don't offer IP address in the USA, or they only offer one or two. I'm using 12vpn and I've got at least five that I can hop around from at will, without paying extra fees. For example, this morning I signed into San Jose and found that my connection was quite slow. I immediate switched to Fremont (both are on the west coast, which tends to work better for people located in China) and I'm having zero buffering problems now. This was the opposite of last night when I Fremont was slow and San Jose was fast. Some sites say that the quality or location of the vpn affects the speed of your internet connection very minimally, but I've found the opposite to be true.

Another thing to remember when you get a Hulu vpn to watch Hulu outside the USA, is that proxies are not vpn's and proxies don't work anymore. Many time, sites will use the word 'proxy' and 'vpn' interchangeably, claiming that both can give you access to Hulu. This is false. For one, a proxy is less secure, and in many cases slower than a vpn (in my experience). Also, because the are less secure, Hulu is able to detect them and will deny you access. Any site that says Hot Spot Shield can allow you to watch Hulu outside the USA is outdated.
