It's cool out tonight
The heater's are running
Our lights are on bright.
No shining moon in sight
Clouds hiding her face
Tomorrow, the suns out
Taking the rain's place
It will warm our souls
Bringing life back to see
Dry up all the pot holes
And the flowers will bloom
Bird will be singing a tune
As Seeds in the ground sprout
Bringing good weather to us
For rain gutters will let it all out
And Spring's face we'll all see
While Red roses will shine
All our smiles will return
Everything will seem just fine.
For the world does renew
As things always turn bright
Helping us all to forget
Those dark cold dreary rainy nights

Post a CommentLovely! Rainy, gloomy days don't bother me unless they go on and on and on. Ugh.
If you do not like the weather in Texas, just wait 5 minutes, it will change.
Very nice! I find myself going stir crazy in the house when we have numerous days of gloom, and it is hard to get motivated. Great job on this!
Michigan is one of the worst states I lived in as far as seemingly endless gloomy days - but it's beautiful in the short spring and summer.
As a matter of fact, it is raining again in Texas today and it is cold! BRRRRRRR!!
Yes Nikki I know. Grin!I'm in FT Worth and it is worse than Dallas area as at least it is warmer over there. Pat, I hope you stay safe and sound and have electricity. I know how many are suffering in Oklahoma. Len yes they do fix pot holes but not fast enough. hahah!.
It actually is raining in Texas today, and cold!
Lovely poem...literally and metaphorically. (Do they actually fix potholes in Texas? Not here.)
These dark days do get depressing, don't they? It's hard for me to get any work done on days like this. But I am thankful for the wonderful rain we're getting.
We needed it so much. Great poem!
