It's a Test

We lived before we came to earth
Where we learned of our great worth.
He told us He loved us but we had to leave
To learn and to grow on earth we should live.

It's a test, we were told
And as our lives would unfold
Of sorrows and pains we would know
But joys and treasures would also flow.

Never forget, He tenderly said,
With you I will be, if you want to be led.
I will listen to everything you care to share
With always my guidance as close as a prayer.

It won't be easy this test to pass
But the reward in Heaven forever will last.
I'll give you the tools for you to succeed
Just remember my words to always heed.

And when your time on earth will end
To your heavenly home you will ascend.
Into my arms I will hold you tight
And tell you, Well done, come into my light.
