It's Time to Fight

You and I Can Change the USA

Bubba
The time has come for the American folks to fight. People are getting murdered, raped, and robbed every minuet of every day. Banks are failing, stock brokers are ready to jump out of the windows once again. To top it off we have two multi-millionaires trying to become President of the United States that don't have a clue what the real problems of America are. It's time all us common folks band together and fight. First everybody take a deep breath in through the nose...suck it in and count to ten. Now blow it out... Do it again..

This is going to be a marathon so keep the pace constant. We all need to apply the Bubba Clause method of war to our lives. (Y'all can read about Bubba Clause @ http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/121105/the_legend_of_bubba_clause.html?cat=10 ) We can combat all this negativity with out any guns, knives or force. We the common folks can turn the country around to return to the positive. We (you and I) have the power. First thing Bubba Clause taught me was kindness could cure any evil, negative thought I have in my stubborn head. No money involved, no extra time invested just kindness with out any expectations. Little steps work best. Smile at a stranger walking through Wal Mart. Step back and hold the door for the person behind you. Push the empty cart from the parking lot into the store or just into the cart corral. All of these acts inspire many other acts of kindness we will never know about. It's like a positive epidemic.

Yes I can hear the negative responses..."I do that but nobody notices." Well my response has always been in a parable I heard many years ago. There was an old grandpa, living in the hills of Southern Ohio, that read his Bible every morning. His grandson tried to imitate him. After several weeks he was frustrated. "Grandpa I've tried reading your book and I can not understand most of it, what I do understand I can't remember." Grandpa slowly got up from his chair and shoveled the last of the coal from a basket into the stove. He turned to the boy and said "Take this basket to the creek and bring me a basket of water."

The boy followed grandpa's instructions but in the time he walked from the creek all the water had drained from the basket. After several failed attempts he went to the barn, got a bucket and brought grandpa a bucket of water. "I said I wanted a basket of water not a bucket. You can do this just try harder." Once again the boy ran to the creek and filled the basket and ran to the house. Once again the basket was empty.

In tears this young man went to Grandpa..."It's impossible..." Grandpa smiled and wisely took the basket from the boy. Reading and understanding the Bible is like carrying water in this basket, seeming impossible. Look at the coal basket. It is now clean and bright from the water. Just like you will be changed from reading that book we all don't understand and can't remember. We will be changed on the outside and the inside.

Kindness and happiness are the same. If we practice them everyday we will be changed on the outside and the inside. Kindness and joy are an epidemic that can and will change the Untied States of America back to the country we all love...In spite of the Multi-millionaires (Democrats and Republicans) efforts to screw up our thinking.... : ) We all need to follow the golden rule.

I disagree. Happiness and kindness are not the same.

I agree with you...but it seems that Americans have gone so far down the overblown ego road that it's impossible to have niceness appreciated. Every remark is scrutinized for underlying tones of possible meanness or intolerance. It's getting close to when we will say "Good morning" and someone will ask, "Whaddya mean by that?"

I agree. I will take up your cause and participate in my small world. It is the only one that I can change!

    I agree in many ways.
