It's Time for Ghostock 5 in Savannah, Georgia, October 25-28, 2007

Come Enjoy This "spirited" Convention!

A couple of years ago, Patrick and Pam Burns of Atlanta, Georgia's Ghost Hounds, decided to host a paranormal convention. (This was before Patrick became one of the co-stars of Court TV's Haunting Evidence.)

They've been doing the convention twice a year now for the last couple of years, and it's time for Number 5! Ghostock 5 takes place October 25-28, at the Hotel DeSoto in the middle of the Savannah, Georgia historic district.

Everybody agrees that Savannah is the perfect place for a paranormal convention. You can hardly walk in Savannah without stumbling over ghosts, it sometimes seems. Many of the buildings here are very old, and most of them have some supernatural-seeming activity.

Walking around town with my Ghostock 4 t-shirt on last year, people told me stories everywhere I went, from the Pirate's House restaurant to the bookstore across the street from the Hilton DeSoto, where the convention is held. There are hauntings from the Civil War era and before, from the heyday of Johnny Mercer and related to the events recounted in Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.

So anyone even remotely interested in ghosts or haunted places will automatically love Savannah. (Even the Hotel DeSoto is rumored to have its own uneartly inhabitant. ) Add fantastic guests like Savannah's own Murray Silver, psychic medium Reese Christian, ghost tour operator and author Jim Caskey, Dr. William Roll, and Patrick himself, among others, and that should be enough to make the ghost lover's eyes light up.

But there's more...as long as there is space, attendees will be able to go on an actual investigation into one of Savannah's paranormally active locations. The locations are a secret until you sign up, and space is limited, so it may not be possible to attend an investigation this year. But remember, Ghostock happens twice a year. Come and meet everyone and start learning from all the great guests, and sign up early next year!

Being at the convention is the best, most fun, experience, but if you can't attend this year, Patrick has done a truly generous thing, and made the convention available by webcast starting on Thursday, October 25, on the Ghost Hounds website or the Ghostock website!

Come and be thrilled..chilled..and even learn a thing or two. And don't miss "Scaryoke," Thursday night at 9!

Register at the Ghostock website. Single day registrations will be available on a walk-in basis.
