It's Time for the Sex and the City Movie in Dallas

A Ladies Night Exclusive

The highly anticipated movie for the HBO series Sex and the City arrives in theaters this Friday, May 30. A group of us vibrant, professional ladies plan to attend this movie in Dallas in honor of sexually liberated women across America.

Tomorrow night we will all meet up at Cinemark Tinseltown in the north Dallas city of Plano at 7 p.m. This is an occasion to celebrate the movie we all have been patiently waiting for since the HBO series ended in 2004.

There will be 10 ladies, including myself, and each of us holds a special place in our hearts for at least one of the fascinating ladies from the series. For six seasons, we all eagerly watched each of the characters grow through exploring a range of emotions in life, love and the pursuit of happiness.

Yes, we feel very passionately about this movie, and no we don't care if we act like star-crazed fans. Steve and Berry's even helped us out by selling Sex and the City tank tops that we plan to wear to the movie. A ladies night out has to make a statement and fashion is a great place to start.

Each of the characters is now in their 40s and judging from the previews, it hasn't slowed down any of their mojos.

Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) is finally getting married to Mr. Big. It's been a long journey for those two, and it will be nice to see that love will finally work in their favor.

Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall) will certainly add the sexual spontaneity to the plot that all good girls secretly wish to possess.

Charlotte York (Kristin Davis) is the girl next door we all have grown to love. She is happily married and has a healthy baby which is what she always desired to have.

Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon) is the career-driven matriarch type who always manages to give the ladies the dose of reality to put their best foot forward while keeping their personal interests in mind.

After the movie is over we will make our way to Pappadeaux's to grab a bite to eat and probably a few cosmos in true Sex and the City tradition. We will discuss the movie what we enjoyed most and hoped to see more of.

Each of us will probably recite our favorite line or scene from the movie despite only seeing it once. My two favorite characters are Carrie and Samantha. The writer in me personally identifies with Carrie and her passion for writing words from the hearts most deeply intimate questions.

I enjoy Samantha's character for her personal freedom in freely expressing her sexuality and being brave enough to ask any man for what she wants in fulfilling her fantasies. I can't wait to see how my two favorite characters lives pan out on the big screen.

To all Sex and the City fans, head to theaters and enjoy the movie.

Sounds like a fun evening! How was the movie? Now it's time for your review :) I have not followed the "Sex and the City" television series, but you have piqued my interest in the going to see this on the big screen. And I won't even get into your having dinner at Pappadeaux, which is my favorite restaurant! I'm SO jealous...

I've seen the movie and was greatly disappointed. I submitted a review on Associated Content as well. I'm sure your experience with your friends will be far more exciting than this long, drawn out and boring storyline. I'm so disappointed - I expected so much more....

I'm torn between Carrie and Charlotte. Carrie speaks to the writer in me who scribes about relationships and life while defining and questioning if she will attain happiness and fulfillment. Charlotte exemplifies my hopelessly romantic, optimistic, traditional, beliefs in love and happy endings. I can't wait to see how my girls are doing ;o)
