You view your wedding day as a once-in-a-lifetime event. One that should be exactly the way you and your future husband want it to be. In some cases, our family members dream just as big as we do regarding the day that we find our perfect someone and plan our wedding, but ultimately the husband and wife, only, are in charge.
Some family members, with the best intentions, forget exactly who and what this day is all about. They sometimes let their own thoughts and opinions out weigh the fact that it really has nothing to do with them at all. Try hard not to hurt feelings but keep in mind that this is a day that you will do once in your life, and look back on forever. You need no regrets or any visions of "do overs".
At moments when you don't have time to deal with drama, designate someone who is polite but firm to play interference for you. Although you do not want to cause any family feuds, nor make this day miserable for anyone else, with a bit of class and grace, you can insure that your dream day is truly that... Your Dream Day.
