I've no mother, no daughters... my sister and I we are orphans: naked and shivering, huddling together. We have been left alone to face the future. Our Mama, she leads us even though she left this life long ago... No yesterday, no tomorrow only the uncertainty of today, that is our mother's legacy. Where is our mother to guide us when we need her most? Where are our daughters to show us the way to all of our tomorrows? We cling to one another, my sister and I, searching for warmth and understanding.
Regardless, we keep reaching out for something to hold onto with our tendrils always shooting upward and onward searching for the sun... until sickness cuts us down to reveal the old and ugly, that which decays beneath.... that which we have struggled to cover with the new-found beauty of each passing day.
