The current style this season for J. Crew denim is mostly the skinny jean, which J. Crew labels as toothpick, matchstick, and vintage slim. This is with good reason, as the jeans appear to be very form-fitting. The Ankle stretch toothpick jeans are available in an amore wash, which is a medium blue color that is flattering for many women. The jeans cost $125.00, and are available in sizes 24"-32".
The matchstick jeans are made from a non-stretch denim that gives you a bit more room than the toothpick jeans, as they are not quite as fitting. They are available in black denim, premium indigo, and a dark rinse wash. They are also available in a destroyed-denim style, in two colors: busted stone and vintage dark. The current cost for the matchstick jeans ranges from $79.50-$118.00. Sizes are available in both short and regular, from 24"-33".
The vintage slim look is just as described-jeans that have a distressed look, and fit as though you have owned them for several years. The inseam is 24" rather than the typical 28". The jeans are cropped, and are available in a "garage wash" color, and range from $78.00-$118.00. The sizes available are 25"-28".
The bootcut jean is one of J. Crew's most popular styles, and would be the best choice for the average woman. They are made of cotton, and fit your figure the more you wash and wear them. The colors available are pacific wash, a premium rinse wash, and a stretch bootcut cord. The sizes range from 25" to 33", and are available in short, regular, and some tall sizes. The prices begin at $79.50 and go up to $108.00.
One other popular style is the trouser denim pant. These pants are cut well, and would also look flattering on many sizes of women. Some workplaces may even allow these to be worn during the workday, as they are available in a very dark wash, and look tailored and professional. They are available in a clean rinse wash. Sizes range from 0-16 (note that these are traditional sizes versus the other denim, which measure in inches), and cost $108.00.
J. Crew has a wide variety of jeans available that are traditional, but also current with today's trends. Some are more polished and have a tailored sort of fit, while others will begin to feel like your favorite pair of old jeans. Sure, you might spend more money on this brand, but the quality is well worth it.
