JJ is a skillful songwriter, using lyrics that are poetic and full of feeling and meaning that touches your heart. He completes the whole package with simple melodies that have depth and color, to create a sound that demands a glass of fine liquor, and comfy chair and dim lights. His compositions beg for one to close their eyes, and allow the subtle tones and words engulf you.
JJ McCabe is old school soft rock. Being at his craft for years, JJ has developed his own unique style after growing up with the Beatles, absorbing the tunes of Moody Blues, and Pink Floyd and living a musicians dream of opening for Bruce Springsteen, Poco, Eagles along with backing up the infamous Chuck Berry. A gifted guitarist, even Jackie Onassis saw JJ 's skill, hiring him as JFK JRs first guitar teacher.
Currently JJ is writing, composing and working to get his music heard, recently setting up on OurStage, he offers four great selections for your listening pleasure
JJ names 'The Answer" as his favorite of his tunes on OurStage. The Answer smacks with a flavor of David Gilmour. With a mystical bridge, this tune dances on your soul.
As good as the Answer is, I also recommend A Rose. The whispering vocals and classic guitar playing will take you back to when music was music.
If you are wanting to rock out, McCabe is not for you. But if you are wanting to unwind from a Hard Days Night, and need to reflect on things, turn on JJ McCabe, he has The Answer.
