The world became obsessed with the Jacksons and their hits included ABS, I'll be There, I want You back and many many othere. The band continued up to 1990 when they officially disbanded with Jermaine and Michael enjoying successful solo careers. Michael Jackson even furthered his own expectations and had the world eating out of his hand with Thriller and apart from one reunion concert in New York in 2001, the brothers pursued their own interests.
Jermaine, following his stint of Celebrity Big Brother, revealed that the Jackson 5 were planning a new album and tour. He also said that he is producing a musical about the band. Last week, Michael's lawyer confirmed that "negotiations were under way for the tour". The Jackson 5 fans can expect 250 gigs over a three year period in Las Vegas and concerts around the world.
