Jackson, Michigan American Cancer Society to Host Its First Annual Survivors' Celebration

On June 1, 2008 at 7 o'clock pm, the Jackson, Michigan branch of the American Cancer Society will open the gates of Jackson's Cascades Falls for its First Annual Survivors' Celebration. Inside the Falls, cancer survivors and their families and caregivers will be treated to musical entertainment and a free view of the Cascades Falls, with its fountains and lights. According to Mary Ball, Community Representative, this sort of celebration has never before taken place here in Jackson.

While no food will be provided, families are encouraged to bring a picnic supper and to enjoy the 465-acre park with walking paths, wheelchair access, museum, paddleboats and several playgrounds before the event actually begins.
