When Jacob ran for safety, even after he had done wrong, God had promised to protect him and be his God. Who can say that they have a friend that they can offend and still be loved afterwards? I may not be running to safety for a wrong doing, but I ask God one question... If he can bring me home safely, then I will always follow His steed. This is not a thought I would normally say. God is sovereign and deserves my praise no matter what I do or He does, but I would ask God these things as His child. Home for me is into God's warm embrace whether I am here on earth of up there on heaven. Praise God...
