Jaime Pressly Files for Divorce, Just One of Many Troubles for Actress (Links)

The rumors that Jaime Pressly and Simran Singh's marriage was over have come to pass as the actress has officially filed for divorce from her husband of 16 months. According to People, Pressly listed December 27 as the date the couple separated and she checked the standard irreconcilable differences box.

Pressly also has requested to deny Singh, an entertainment lawyer, any spousal support. That being said, Pressly is also facing some debt to the Federal government as well as the State of California of just over $637,000 thus it would be obvious that she has no money for Singh to go after.

This latest strike in Pressly's life has got to be hard on the actress who played the character of Joy Turner so well on My Name is Earl which ran from September, 2005 through May, 2009.

News of her pending divorce comes on the heels of Jaime's January 5 arrest in Santa Monica for DUI and a report this past week by RadarOnline.com that Pressly owes just over $637,000 in State and Federal Taxes.

Pressly married Singh, an entertainment lawyer on September 26, 2009 at the Dick Clark Estate and son Dezi James (from a previous relationship) was in attendance.
