Jake Gyllenhaal Showers New Girlfriend, Taylor Swift with Gifts for Birthday

Taylor Swift was showered with gifts from her new boyfriend, actor, Jake Gyllenhaal for her 21^st birthday and they were not cheap gifts either. Gyllenhaal first sprung for a guitar signed by country music legend Chet Atkins that cost over $10,000. The couple happened upon the guitar while browsing in a small shop in Nashville, Tennessee and it caught Swift's eye.

If you think that was big, the next gift was even bigger! The classic guitar was followed up with a $100,000 diamond bracelet that was reported to have just under a 30 ct. diamond weight. Gyllenhaal didn't skimp a bit on presents or money when buying gifts for Swift's birthday.

However, on December 23, 2010, Gyllenhaal's representative came out and said that the reports of Gyllenhaal giving Swift a diamond bracelet were false. At this time we do not know if this is indeed true or not, as the news of the diamond studded bracelet was reported wide-spread by various news outlets.

In addition to the expensive gift(s), Gyllenhaal made Swift a personalized birthday card, bought her a coffee maker, coffee grinder and a whopping 21 pounds of select Kona coffee to celebrate Swift's 21 years. Swift and Gyllenhaal share a coffee/caffeine addiction, and I'm sure this gift will cover many cups of coffee together.

Swift, a rising star in the country music field turned 21 on December 13, 2010. Swift and Gyllenhaal have been dating since October of this year and have been making the headlines as 'Hottest Couple' and 'Hottest 2010 Hookup' among several others.

Gyllenhaal, 30, is a talented actor and has starred in several big movies including 'Brokeback Mountain,' 'Jarhead,' 'Zodiac,' and most recently 'Love and Other Drugs' in which he co-stars with Anne Hathaway. Gyllenhaal received a Golden Globe nomination this past week for his role in 'Love and Other Drugs.'

The new couple has been spotted together in various cities across the United States in coffee houses, walking hand in hand and also spent Thanksgiving together. We will probably see the couple hit the red carpet together for the first time at the upcoming Golden Globe Awards.

One thing is for sure, this is a "power couple" and one to keep an eye on. They will continue to be making the headlines in this new real life "love story"
