ABC today officially confirm that Jake Pavelka will be the next bachelor and a 25 year old woman from Tennesse told a local television station she was on the show as well. Many gossip internet websites are also posting that Jake Pavelka will the next bachelor.
It was announced during Tuesday's "Dancing with the stars" that Jake Pavelka is the next bachelor. The show is set it begin taping the 14th season in November. Though the show begins taping in November the 14th season of the bachelor with not premier until January. He currently resides in Dallas, Texas, and is 31 years of age.
Jake Pavelka appeared back on the fifth season of The Bachelorette where he was hoping to find love with Jillian Harris. Despite him not being chosen by Jillian he was seen by many as a popular character. You might remember Jake who threw Wes under the bus in that season. ABC believes that this act to protect Jillian from those not after her for the "right reason", made him a favorite amongst viewers. That and his career as a pilot cause many when to pin him as their "Top Gun" fantasy.
It has become a pattern to draw on the past success of characters that appear on both the bachelor and the bachelorette. It appears to be a receipt for success that ABC will again follow for the 14th season of The Bachelor. Now doubt there will be discussion now on weather Jake Pavelka can carry the show, but after 14 season it seems the producers of The Bachelor know what there doing, as the show is still thriving in popularity.
The new bachelor Jake Pavelka commented in Us Weekly that "it's such a unique opportunity, I still cannot believe this is happening." He has also stated he knows what he is looking for now that he will be on the other side handing out the roses. It seems for him there are four important qualities that he deems most important; passion, romance, compassion and being protective. Well see what is to come for Jake Pavelka in January when the 14th season of the bachelor premiers.
