Jam Squares
2 cups oatmeal (quick cooking)
2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar (pack firmly)
2 cups (jam or whole cranberry sauce) your choice of flavors
mix together sugars, oatmeal, flour. Cut in the butter until crumbly.
Spread ½ of the crumbs in a 9 x 13 pan. Pack firmly. Spread jam, preserves or cranberry sauce on top of crumb crust. Take remaining crumbs and sprinkle over jam. Bake at 375 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes until golden brown.
Can be eaten plain or with ice cream or cool whip.
