Jamaica boasts some amazing beaches with views to die for. One of these being the James Bond Beach. This beach is famous for its fresh fish and seafood served at The Moonraker 'Jamaican' Bar and Grill. And on this beach you can experience the thrill and excitement of a guided wave runner tour. This particular tour will take you right past the 'Golden Eye' where Ian Fleming scribed the James Bond Novels. The James Bond beach also plays host to the Bob Marley tribute concerts.
But there is so much more to Jamaica than glorious beaches. For those that care for a little vacation adventure then a trip to Dunn's River Falls would be in order. Here you will be led up and over giant limestone rocks and up through a fast flowing waterfall. Once you have arrived at the top you can take a well earned dip in beautiful crystal clear pools.
How does jungle river tubing sound? Once assigned your tube you will 'sail' through the untouched terrain of Jamaica's interior, seeing many indigenous jungle animals in their natural habitat as you go. Add to that the thrill of being at the mercy of the moods of the river it can only be an exciting voyage of discovery.
For something a bit more relaxing take a trip to Dolphin Cove. Here you will have the opportunity to swim with a family of Bottlenose dolphins.
Those of us that enjoy a drop of rum will enjoy a visit to the Appleton Rum estate. It is here that you will get an inside look at the rum making process. First stop is to watch 'Pax' the resident donkey demonstrating how juice was extracted from sugar cane in the 18th Century. From here you will move onto the Distillery and Aging House. The rums blended on this estate have won International acclaim.
Bob Marley fans can take a close look at his life with the various museums that are around including the Bob Marley Mausoleum which is the birth place and the resting place of this reggae legend.
Jamaica offers a huge variety of accommodation which includes apartments, bed& breakfasts, guest houses, hotels and villas.
Getting around the island is an absolute breeze with plenty of public transport and ,many car rental firms.
This is just a small taste of what Jamaica has to offer but as can be seen there are many ways to enjoy a vacation here.
