FAIRBORN, OH - The Brothers & Co. Entertainers of Jamestown will present their unique blend of music and comedy in a live performance throughout the 2009 Fairborn 4th of July Parade, beginning at 10 a.m. this Saturday. The parade starts from Fairborn Plaza, turns left on Central Avenue, right on Main Street, and finally ends on North Broad.

The Brothers & Co. Entertainers is a country-western styled family band and quartet that has been performing together for more than 14 years. Their Vaudeville-style music and variety show includes specialty acts, music and comedy.

The group features pianist, writer, and nationally-known whip artist, Gery L. Deer (America's Got Talent, The Bonnie Hunt Show); singer, percussionist, and comedian Gary Deer, Jr.; guitarist and lyricist Ed Jones; and bass singing sensation and award-winning classical magician, James Karns.

The group is best known for their harmonies on classic songs from such groups as The Statler Brothers, The Everly Brothers, John Denver, and more. Besides music, their stage shows include family-friendly comedy routines, classic magic, and world-champion bullwhip artistry. "Our show is unique," says bass singer and comedian James Karns, who is, ironically, a resident of Fairborn. "We like to engage the audience and entertain them, and we offer a unique, family show full of fun and surprises."

Dubbed "The Boys in Black" because of their signature black classic western costuming, the group will perform all along the parade route on a 40-foot-long mobile stage. Following behind the mobile stage will be the group's tour bus nicknamed, "Noah's Ark."

The 45-foot, 24-ton Silver Eagle Coach was built in 1972 and carried passengers on daily runs throughout the southwestern United States, finally being converted into a tour coach for a gospel group in the 1980's. Liberated from a junk yard 4 years ago, where it had been sitting for more than 8 years, Noah's Ark has undergone major renovations, many of which are still in progress, and has become as much a member of the group as any of the musicians.

In addition to commercial performances, The Brothers & Co. Entertainers are also active in the community, using their entertainment talents to raise money for such organizations as The Jamestown Area Historical Society and the Greeneview High School Academic Boosters. Later this year they will host an area-wide talent show later this year to benefit the Greene County Council on Aging.

The Brothers & Co. Entertainers are managed by GLD Enterprises & Productions Entertainment/Public Relations. The parade appearance is sponsored by Deer Computer Consulting, Ltd. and Gary Deer & Sons - Sawdust/Excavating.
