Jamie Foxx Offers Miley Cyrus a Quick Apology on Tonight Show

Jamie Foxx and Miley Cyrus don't have a lot in common, other than that Foxx and Cyrus have movies coming out this month. But Jamie Foxx, who is more than twice the age of Miley Cyrus, tried to take her on with some commentary on his Sirius satellite radio show. It broke yesterday that Foxx had some less than flattering advice for Cyrus, which drew a lot of ire. Luckily for Foxx, he had an appearance on The Tonight Show last night, and apologized promptly.

Jamie Foxx hosts the radio show "The Foxxhole" during weekend when not doing movies, stand up and music. Miley Cyrus was in his line of fire after a caller brought up an incident between her and Radiohead, in which she threatened to "ruin" them when they wouldn't meet her at the Grammys.

For this, Foxx suggested that Cyrus grow up, get a gum transplant, make a sex tape, do heroin, get into a lesbian relationship, smoke crack, and get chlamydia on a bicycle seat. Like all the formerly upstanding teen idols did.

Cyrus is approaching the age where she is more vulnerable to the Hollywood pressure, like Brittany, Lindsay and all the others. Thus far, Cyrus hasn't gotten herself into that kind of trouble - unless those times where Cyrus was in slightly revealing photo shoots count.

But Cyrus has approached the kind of power already that Brittany and the others didn't have, even in their heyday. Unlike a lot of them, she has a hit movie out - albeit one based on her already powerful TV show Hannah Montana.

If Foxx was trying to knock Cyrus out of the box office competition before his next film, The Soloist, comes out on April 24, it didn't work. Foxx had to regroup after much criticism, and use his time on The Tonight Show to offer an apology.

Foxx said that his show was like "the black Howard Stern" in which they go after everybody. He said he didn't mean to go after Cyrus maliciously, despite the maliciousness of some of those suggestions.

Foxx reached out to Cyrus and said "You know I'm a comedian. You know my heart," offering to call her personally. He has a daughter roughly Cyrus's age, which is why he "completely understands."

None of Cyrus's people has commented about the recent blowup. Foxx may find it punishment enough to have to deal with this bad publicity, while in the midst of promoting his Oscar-baiting role in The Soloist. Foxx, playing a schizophrenic homeless musician, is already vulnerable to charges that he is going 'full retard" - the term his Soloist co-star Robert Downey Jr created to describe Oscar-bait mentally challenged roles in Tropic Thunder.

Meanwhile, Cyrus remains the number 1 box office star for the moment and is still Disney's golden girl.

Dominos should post his apology on a website like Apology Center and let the Internet world decide if it's worthy, ya know?

I'm definitely not going to see Jaime Foxx's new movie, or any of his movies. He's not a good person.
