Jamie Foxx Rants and Tells Miley Cyrus To Make a Sex Tape?

Foxx Rants: Make a Sex Tape, Do Heroine, Be like Lindsay Lohan, Catch Chlamydia

Grammy Award-winning artist and Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx seems to have decided to let his better judgment take the day off. Of course, it is not unheard of for actors and artists to do something outrageous just before the release of a new album or a movie, but that does not seem to be what was going on in this instance. On his Sirius radio show over the weekend, Jamie Foxx allowed his professional opinion of the tween star Miley Cyrus and his need to be amusing (he is a comedian as well as a singer and actor) get the better of him.

They are calling it a rant.

A caller brought up the subject of Miley Cyrus' tiff with Radiohead, that strange moment in time after the Grammy Awards when she went on a childish tirade, telling the world she would ruin their career because she had been so disappointed that her favorite group -- Radiohead -- had not given her a private audience before the show. Other than the lead singer, Thom Yorke, stating later that Miley Cyrus needed to grow up, the dust-up settled down.

Until now. Jamie Foxx has entered the fray.

After it was explained to him who Miley Cyrus actually was, he asked, "The one with all the gums? She gotta get a gum transplant." There was a bit of laughter and joking from the group of people on the show and at another point, someone pointed out that Miley Cyrus was "Hannah Montana."

One of the people, a female, then said that Miley Cyrus needed to go make a sex tape. Jamie Foxx then repeated (with an addendum), "Go make a sex tape and grow up." And then he told her to "get like Britney Spears and do some heroin.

But he wasn't done. Jamie Foxx was on a roll. It was Lindsay Lohan's turn. Foxx suggested Miley Cyrus "do like Lindsey Lohan and sit on a lesbian; get some crack in your pipe."

The star of "Ray" still wasn't done. He followed that risqué joke with: "Catch Chlamydia on a bicycle seat."

Since Sirius radio is a subscription service, those that appear on the airwaves can say anything they please. That does not mean that anything they say will please, however. The internet has just started to buzz over the incident. It will definitely get far worse before it gets better.

Jamie Foxx, who announced to the world that he was a country music fan at the 44th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards last week and that he would be one of the guest performers at the George Strait tribute show, has already received some tough talk on CMT.com. Some want him removed from the tribute show altogether.

And it could be safe to say that Jamie Foxx won't be on the guest list at Disneyworld anytime soon, either. Just before the rant ended, the female voice states, "Bring that back to Disney, b***h." Jamie Foxx chimes in with: "Another episode of smell my finger."

Yeah. This could get real ugly before it is over.

Miley Cyrus, childish in her pouting rage in her little rant against Radiohead or not, is still just a teenager. She just turned 16 years old. In the eyes of many, she is still a child. Jamie Foxx, who is 41, will have offended many, not the least of which are Miley Cyrus and her family.

He just might be the second artist she idolizes that has hurt her feelings. Because there is no doubt that when she hears Foxx's rant, if she hasn't already, it will hurt her feelings.

But Jamie Foxx might have a little more than that to worry about. All gums and no talent or whatever, she has a huge fan base. And there will be many among those fans who will take offense on her behalf. Some of those millions will take it upon themselves to begin boycotting Jamie Foxx and everything he does. A few of those people will be in positions of power.

Jamie Foxx will need to apologize. Very publicly.

The Oscar-winner has a new movie, "The Soloist," coming out on April 24. Advance publicity for and by the stars is usually something welcomed by the producers and distributors of a movie. With the star power of Foxx and Robert Downey, Jr. ("Iron Man," "Tropic Thunder"), the movie was (and still might be) destined to become a hit. From the looks of the trailers, it might have produced Oscar nominations for both the actors.

But Hollywood is all about politics, the Oscars -- the nominations, the voting -- just as much as anything else. It would be a shame to see Jamie Foxx not be nominated for an Academy Award over this crass performance on a satellite radio talk show.

Jamie Foxx should have taken his cue from the lead singer of Radiohead and just dismissed Miley Cyrus as childish. Who is looking immature now?

If miley gets to insult a whole ethnic group, shouldn't it happen to her as well?

He should use his voice for singing, not talking.
