Jamie Ray Newman Coming to ‘NCIS’

Karen Barnes
Fans of "CSI: NY" and "Eureka" will be glad to know Jamie Ray Newman will be appearing in two episodes of "NCIS." She will be playing Navy Lieutenant Commander Melanie Burke.

With Gibbs' fascination with redheads, providing her character will be a redhead on "NCIS" too, could their be sparks between Burke, Newman's character, and him? More than likely, but probably not the kind that leads to any personal interests between the two. Since Gibbs also has a hard time with women in command who rub him the wrong way, just how will the two get along?

The two episodes Newman will appear in will be interesting any way you look at it. Since some of the characters she has played can be lovable, sweet, snarky and fun.

Newman on "CSI: NY - Inedelible" Claire Taylor

Jamie played the memories of Mack Taylor's wife Claire in a recent episode on "CSI: NY." The episode is the one about when he was working in a lab to help identify victims of 9/11 who were never given their identities back after the Twin Towers came down. Mack also was working with a firefighter on a memorial who he became friends with during that fateful day.

During Taylor's flashbacks about the day his wife died, the scenes showed the two talking that morning, after the first tower attack, and during the second tower attack. As he was telling her which way to run away from the falling debris, he had lost contact with Claire. Some time during or after the second attack and their lost connection, Claire lost her life.

Jamie Ray on "Eureka" Tess Fontana

She joins "Eureka" as Tess Fontana as one of the female geeky scientiests at Global Dynamics. She takes over a secret section of the company much to a few peoples surprise; Jack Carter being one of them.

During Tess' time in Eureka, Jack and her date for a short time. When she tells him of a new job offer and leaves town, their relationship ends as fast as it started. However, their relationship wasn't without any of the quirks and misfires that happen with all those living in this scientists dream town and job.
