Jane Shimmering Bronzer in Tahiti - Product Review

Since I am fair skinned, it is usually a challenge to find a bronzer that works for me, without making me look like some king of clown. I expected to have shell out at least $25 to get any kind of natural glow for summer. I was so happy when I received this as an extra in a swap- to whoever that was, you have changed my summer face!

COLOR

Tahiti is a checkerboard of three different shades, three squares each- beige, a sand color, and a copper brown. They can each be used separately for highlight, contour, blush, etc. But, the best way is to swirl all three colors on your brush, making a gorgeous pinky-brown. For fair skin tones, this is great because it looks super natural. This can also be great for deeper skin tones because you can use the darker colors by themselves. I think this is a gorgeous, natural bronzer that gives a breathtaking glow.

FORMULA

This bronzer is shimmery, so if you like matte bronzers, this is not for you. I really like this powder because it does not feel heavy on my face like the Stila Sun bronzer did. It feels great on your face and blends into your skin very naturally making you look like you have a flawless, airbrushed look.

FUNCTIONALITY

Since there are three shades I this bronzer, it is great for year-round! You can use the darkest color in the summer and the medium one in the winter, or blend it in different ways for different finishes. This is a well-made compact that I really like and it is perfect for on-the-go, as so many of us need. It is also great because the bottom part of the compact has a good-sized mirror- even if you are not near a mirror; you can still touch-up your bronzer.

PACKAGING

As I mentioned before, the compact is great and feels well-made. It is a penny color with the clear window and the Jane logo on the front, and opens two ways. The top opens to reveal the bronzer while the bottom half opens to reveal a good-sized mirror and an alright brush. It is not the best brush to use with this, but it does alright in hard situations. It is fan shaped, so it is great for sweeping over the forehead and cheekbones.

PRICE

As I said, I thought I would have to pay more than $25 to get the flawless look I was going for. While I did receive this as an extra in a swap, it retails for $5.99! I would day that is a good deal. You get 6.8 grams, more than a MAC blush, and you pay less than $1 per gram!

FINAL OPINIONS

I really do love this bronzer for the price, the color, the lightweight feeling, the compact, and all of the blending options. This is a really great product from Jane and frankly, a great product from any makeup company. You can find this wherever Jane Cosmetics are sold, and if Tahiti doesn't work for you, they have other color options as well. I cannot stress how good this drugstore product is! This is a definite repurchase.
