Janet Jacksons New Album Discipline

A Sexually Charged Album

Abbitha
Janet Jackson international superstar released her newest album "discipline" was released February 26, 2008. This is Janet Jacksons first album in 20 years that doesn't feature her usual producers Terry Lewis/Jimmy Jam. Although Janet Jackson has had sales totaling over $1 million, her last two albums weren't big hits with neither one hitting $1 million in sales. Since Janet Jacksons Super bowl "clothing malfunction" her career has been fizzling. Will this album be the one to bring back her career? Is this Janet Jacksons comeback album?

Like Janet Jacksons last two album releases, this album is very sexually charged. Her songs on this album have her usual dance pop beat. While this album is similar to her last two album it has some important differences that are a great improvement from her last two albums. The deluxe album comes with one audio CD and also a bonus DVD.

The first disc includes:
1. I.D. (Interlude)
2. Feedback
3. LUV
4. Spinnin (Interlude)

18. What's Ur Name
19. The Meaning (Interlude)

21. Back (Interlude)
22. Curtains

And disc two the DVD includes
1. The Photo Shoot
2. The Recording Studio

5. "Feedback" Video

Janet Jacksons songs are all extremely sexually suggestive. In "Greatest X" she talks sentimentally about an orgasm, and in "The 1" she is talking about male genitalia "7 inches yup that'll do". She doesn't try and conceal the sexual meanings behind these songs. She was even said that she wanted to explore different sides of discipline, she said "some exotic, many erotic, but all deeply emotional."

Even the CD art and pictures are extremely sexual. On the cover is a picture of Janet Jackson, in a very sexy outfit with "discipline" and "Janet" written on her arms. Other pictures continue to go with the title "discipline" by suggesting themes of domination and submissiveness.

You can get the deluxe album on-line for around $12. Of course if you like Janet Jackson you can't go wrong for $12. I personally think Janet should go back to where she was earlier in her career. I think the albums she was making in the 90's were excellent. She didn't sound like she was trying to prove anything. I always love her dance beat. But her past few albums to me have seemed like she was trying to hard, like she has to prove something. So far this album is getting a much better review then her last two albums. I do think this album is a step up from her last few albums, but all I can say is this album is no rhythm nation.
