Janine Lindemulder: Sandra Bullock's Enemy or Frenemy?

There is an old saying, "The enemy of my enemy is my friend".

Granted, there is no evidence to indicate that Jesse James is considered an "enemy" in the eyes of Sandra Bullock, but the cheating allegations against Jesse James have surely taken him down a notch or two in Sandra's eyes.

Before the Oscars and before the scandal broke out, Sandra Bullock sat down with Barbara Walters in an interview and at one point during the interview discussed how Jesse James had Sandra's back.

Unfortunately, it was the other way around. Sandra Bullock had HIS back when she stood by him during his battle to win full custody of his and Janine Lindenmulder's daughter Sunny.

Now that the allegations of serial cheating have surfaced against Jesse James, Janine Lindemulder has filed for more custody rights and there is a court date set for June 14th, according to TMZ.

Janine has obviously not been fan of Sandra Bullock and even suggested that Sandra was trying to take her daughter away from her, as reported by US Magazine back in November 2009

According to TMZ, Janine seems to have had a change of heart and has expressed that Sandra Bullock is "welcome" in Sunny's life, and has also expressed desire to be "friends" with Sandra.

On the surface, this seems sincere, but could she just be trying to win Sandra's favor so that Sandra will help her get some more custody rights?

If Janine finds an ally in Sandra Bullock, could these two women possibly turn the tables on Jesse James?

Could Janine and Sandra really end up being "friends"?

Sandra Bullock has a big heart and may end up seeing things differently than she did several months ago when she stood behind Jesse during the custody battle with Janine.

In reality though, are either Jesse James or Janine Lindemulder proper role models for their daughter?

Maybe Sandra Bullock would be the better parent in this case.

No doubt, Sandra Bullock's good character helped make it possible for Jesse's daughter to remain with him and Sandra. In the meantime, Janine Lindemulder, recently out of prison and living in a halfway house, has had to live with the fact that Sunny would be staying with Jesse and Sandra after she was denied "expanded visitation rights."

If Janine sincerely wants to be "friends" with Sandra, it is doubtful that this messy situation will turn into anything "friendly" anytime soon.
