Watch new movie trailers for January 2011 releases with cast and plot summaries, release dates, ratings, and the early buzz for these new films.

JANUARY 7 NEW MOVIE TRAILERS:

Season of the Witch: A knight (Nicolas Cage) transports a witch blamed for causing the plague. The trailer looks afflicted too with people yelling for more holy water. It's rated PG-13 for violence.

JANUARY 14 NEW MOVIE TRAILERS:

The Green Hornet: The masked superhero of 1930s radio and 1960s TV gets his own movie starring Seth Rogen and Jay Chou. Newspaper publisher Britt Reid fights crime with sidekick Kato in a funny action film with a PG-13 rating for violence, language, and sensuality.

The Dilemma: A man can't decide if he should tell his best friend that his wife is cheating. The real dilemma is whether audiences will stay away because of a dumb line about electric cars being "gay." This new film directed by Ron Howard and starring Vince Vaughn, Kevin James, and Winona Ryder is rated PG-13 for sexuality.

Barney's Version: No, not the purple dinosaur. This is Barney Panofsky from a novel by Mordecai Richler who's like a less famous Saul Bellow. Paul Giamatti gives a great performance in flashbacks of his multiple marriages, but it's still kind of inert. Rated R for language and sex.

JANUARY 21 NEW MOVIE TRAILERS:

The Company Men: Sundance audiences voiced disappointment with this tale of corporate downsizing. Starring Ben Affleck, Chris Cooper and Tommy Lee Jones with an R rating for language and nudity.

No Strings Attached: Two people (Natalie Portman, Ashton Kutcher) start a physical relationship and discover they want something more. I already want less especially since a virtually identical movie called "Friends With Benefits" is scheduled for July with Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis. The January 2011 movie is rated R for sex, language, and drugs.

The Way Back: Director Peter Weir presents a fact-based story of soldiers who escape a Siberian gulag in 1940. Telluride audiences sounded mostly positive especially for Colin Farrell's performance. This new film is rated PG-13 for violence and mature themes.

JANUARY 28 NEW MOVIE RELEASES:

Biutiful: I've never seen a bad movie with Javier Bardem, and the reaction from Cannes and Telluride confirms this is promising. A man dying from cancer looks for beauty in his seedy surroundings. Rated R for sexuality, language and disturbing images.

The Mechanic: A remake of the 1972 hit man film.

The Rite: Another exorcism but it's got Anthony Hopkins.
